BMW 188mm LSD 4-clutch 1.5-Way 45% / 75% (E30 E34 E36)
A highly customised LSD unit unit. This is an improved replica of the E30 M3 Group A LSD which features the same lockup configuration as the original, but with improved machining which provides smoother engagement and longer life. A 1.5-Way LSD with 45 degree ramps on coast and 30 degree ramps on drive. Four new genuine clutches are fitted. Up to four hardcore steels are fitted as required.
This is a 188mm LSD unit (not whole diff) to fit most E28, E30, E32, E34 and E36 including M3 3.0L. Fits the 6 cylinder models only, or a 4cyl model if it has the larger 8-bolt/188mm diff, which is a direct swap. Guaranteed good physical and operational condition. Will change the whole car! A very significant improvement in cornering speed and general performance. A must-have for track-day cars, club racers and enthusiasts.
Offers a very significant improvement in cornering speed and general performance. There are two types of LSD in this size: one for 2.79 to 3.07 (also above 4.88), and the other is for the common 3.15 to 4.88. Please advise if you're using 2.79, 2.93 or 3.07 gears. This LSD is standard offset. See the product page for the high offset LSD to suit very-low or very-high ratios.
These LSDs are fully rebuilt, cleaned, inspected and oiled. Units have new genuine clutches fitted. Worn components have been replaced, steel surfaces machined where necessary. Old bearings have usually been removed. These are ready to be installed and backed by a warranty.
Upgrades: The Chromoly-Vanadium Top Cap upgrade is an excellent choice for track cars and aggressive road cars where diff failure is not an option.
